Delicious Carrot for The Goblet Club in today’s Cape Times

resized_97807981487881.jpg

Imagine my surprise whilst paging through today’s Cape Times to find a picture of my book cover staring back at me accompanied by the headline Naughty lads plot revenge in toxic tale

It starts off with the startling words… What a surprise to find that SA Partridge is a woman.

Teehee.. I didn’t know it was that closely guarded a secret.

The reviewer had praise aplenty for my little book and its naughty boys, describing it as:

a dark story which cunningly captures the tormented soul and mystery of the “teenage boy”

It gets better.

Her writing is so convincing one almost believes this is a true account told by Mark Llewellen-Bryce himself.

And we find ourselves reading it, and feeling as if we are possibly aiding and abetting his crime by doing so.

What a wonderful review. If only they could all be like this. It almost makes me sad that I cant read the book myself. It’s a fantastic start to the weekend and I couldn’t be more delighted.

The reviewer’s final word on the book…

This is a splendidly twisted tale.

A big thank you to Phil Murray at the Cape Times.

Good stuff, impressive that it's still sprouting carrots a year after publication.

Congrats, Sally, you deserve many more. My teenager is being an unofficial agent for you, by the way, touting The Goblet Club throughout her school. She thought it was awesome to meet you at Lauren's Moxyland CD launch.
