The Alma Mater revisited

So Fuse is back on schedule after the Paarl Print tragedy almost derailed its existence. It’s leaving L-space and entering the real world on 10 June. I’ll be posting more about my motivation behind the book and launch dates closer to the time.

I’m beginning my school tours to promote the book, starting with my old alma mater, Edgemead High School. I have such bittersweet memories of high school, as I’m sure everyone does. Those four walls comprised my entire world, and the daily dramas, so all-important as they were then, seem so trivial now. That desperate ache of liking a boy, not having homework done for a class about to start, detention… does that rebellious teen still exist somewhere and more importantly, will my teachers remember her?

I’ll be speaking at Edgemead High School this Saturday at 13:00.

I’ll post the dates I’ll be speaking at Herschel once I’ve confirmed.

Can’t wait.

Oh good, Sally. Glad it's coming out soon. Exhibit A was also destroyed in the fire.
Can I try and organise for you to speak at Savannah's school (Abbott's College)? I know that many of the kids there have previous experience of being ostracised at other schools.
