On Monday I stopped by fellow South African writer Nerine Dorman’s blog for a litte tete-a-tete.
She grilled me on various topics, which covered everything from writing for teens to stalking and even where I like to go for ice cream (Sinnful if you please).
“Part of being a writer is putting yourself in other people’s shoes and anticipating how you would react to different situations. Also, if you’re writing about a sensitive subject its best to spend some time with someone who’s been there, so you’re doing their experience justice, rather than merely assuming.”

Nerine is the evil genius behind the Bloody Parchment events (the latest anthology has been scooped up by eKhaya) and is launching her new book Inkarna soon. I was lucky enough to get my grubby paws on an advance copy, so I’ll post a review as soon as I’m done. (She advised that I stay away from it at night)
