Everybody has a literary secret, a bookish skeleton in the closet that they guard more closely than Frodo does the One Ring.
This is the premise behind Kelly Ansara’s (of It’s a Book Thing fame) Confessions of a Book Whore blog that invites readers and writers to tell all – whether they’re secretly a Fifty Shades fan, or that they once wrote a short story where they end up marrying Johnny Depp. We all have them.
My literary secret is that I’m a closet fantasy fan. Sounds innocent enough, until you read about the lengths I went to for the books I loved.
Here’s a snippet from my guest blog.
That brings me to Lord of the Rings. Yes, I collected the figures. All of them. And yes, they are still in their unopened boxes. I also had all the books, including the rare ones, as well as my very own One Ring which is sitting in a box so I don’t lose it. And yes, I used to graffiti all over my school books with elfish and feel very clever about it.
