A taste of things to come

YA book blog Paranormalsphere is featuring a sweet and short interview with me, where I chat a little bit about upcoming work including my new novel, Sharp Edges.

Other than the tasty teaser, I talk about why I chose to write young adult fiction, and what has been my most memorable reader experience so far. I had to give the question a lot of thought as “all of them” felt like a bit of a cop out.

The post also features this cute author picture taken by photographer Warren Talmarkes that I love so much that I’m even using it on my website and Facebook author page.

I’m still trying to convince Cat Hellisen to wear her furry bear hat for our joint event at the Franschhoek Literary Festival Youth Week in May. It’s one way to make an impression!

Anywhere, here’s what I revealed about my upcoming new book:

Q4: Are you working on any projects at the moment? And can you elaborate on any details?

My new book, Sharp Edges, comes out in August. It’s about six friends that attend a music festival in the Cedarberg, but only five come back. Each chapter is told from the perspective of a different character and explores what they think happened. It’s a good old fashioned whodunnit with a contemporary twist.

The next Bloody Parchment anthology is coming out in June. Local is lekker horror stories including my short story, Jethro Mackenzie and the Devil.
