Exclusive extract from Sharp Edges
It’s the shortest day of the year. To celebrate, Short Story Day Africa has published the first extract from my new novel, Sharp Edges!
(It counts as a short story as each chapter in the novel is set from a different character’s perspective and is a little tale in itself.)
Okay, so here’s the gist. Sharp Edges is a young adult novel about six kids that go to a music festival in the Cedarberg but only five come back. It’s a whodunit, it’s a love story (sort of) and it’s a topsy-turvy tale of friendship and death.
The novel comes out 26 August 2013 (T-minus sixty-six days and counting) and I’m really, really excited about this one.

There’s also an interview up on SSDA where I talk a little bit about the novel. Here’s a taste:
I wanted to do something a little bit different with Sharp Edges, so I started playing with time and characters. The book is set back to front, so it starts at the end and works its way back to the beginning.
