Delicious Carrot for The Goblet Club in today’s Cape Times

resized_97807981487881.jpg

Imagine my surprise whilst paging through today’s Cape Times to find a picture of my book cover staring back at me accompanied by the headline Naughty lads plot revenge in toxic tale

It starts off with the startling words… What a surprise to find that SA Partridge is a woman.

Teehee.. I didn’t know it was that closely guarded a secret.

The reviewer had praise aplenty for my little book and its naughty boys, describing it as:

a dark story which cunningly captures the tormented soul and mystery of the “teenage boy”

It gets better.

Her writing is so convincing one almost believes this is a true account told by Mark Llewellen-Bryce himself.

And we find ourselves reading it, and feeling as if we are possibly aiding and abetting his crime by doing so.

What a wonderful review. If only they could all be like this. It almost makes me sad that I cant read the book myself. It’s a fantastic start to the weekend and I couldn’t be more delighted.

The reviewer’s final word on the book…

This is a splendidly twisted tale.

A big thank you to Phil Murray at the Cape Times.
